We are off to the cabin again this weekend where we will join my mom, Grandma & brother. Hopefully the weather isn't too chilly so that we can get Gavin out on the boat for the first time! We will be stopping at Cabela's (jealous Uncle Kevin?) on the way to pick him up his very first life jacket, a must for just about every kid living in the state of Minnesota. Maybe we'll pick him out a fishing rod just for kicks, since it is opening weekend!
For those of you w/little ones in Minnesota I want to let you know that you can get your child a lifetime hunting/fishing license until they turn three. Click here to get to the enrollment site. It is a bit costly but years and years of annually buying myself a hunting & fishing license it really adds up! Gavin is very lucky to have an Uncle (my bro) get him one! All he needs to do from now on is stop in a "renew" his license where they will give him a new one for "free." You can also purchase a lifetime membership later in life, but the older you get the more expensive the fee.
