Family Update & Shop for a cure?

Sorry I have been slacking at updating lately! We just got back from four days in Rochester with friends and family. Sadly, Great-Grandpa Charlie Brown passed away last Saturday night and the funeral was yesterday. While it was great to see everyone, we wish it could have been for happier circumstances. I did get some great pictures of the three cousins that I will post tomorrow...

On a happier note, two great CF updates!

First, and most importantly, another big step was achieved in the VX-770 drug aimed at Gavin's gene mutation of CF. The study was opened up to children ages 6-12...basically, this means that the drug has proven to be effective and safe enough to try in children. OK people, this is huge, huge, huge news for our family! We are so close to beating this horrible disease!

Secondly, I saw this on another blog. It's a site called Clicks for Cystic Fibrosis.

A percentage of your online shopping, which we all do, goes directly to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All you have to do is follow the simple instructions, and do your shopping through this website. Talk about an effortless way to help out our cause! Just think, you could shop your way to curing CF... :)
